1. Who publishes this site

hvarcoastal.com is published by Hvar Coastal, operated by Strandway Systems, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Contact: contact@hvarcoastal.com.

2. The information here is guidance, not a guarantee

We research carefully and correct what we get wrong, but travel information ages badly. Ferry timetables are revised every season and cancelled in bad weather, restaurants close, tours change operators, and prices move — sometimes between the day we check a page and the day you read it.

Always confirm times, prices and availability directly with the operator before you travel or book. We do not warrant that anything on this site is complete, current or accurate at the moment you read it, and we accept no liability for loss, cost, missed connections or disappointment arising from reliance on it.

Nothing here is safety, medical, legal, immigration, insurance or financial advice.

3. We are not the seller

We do not sell, operate, own or act as agent for any accommodation, tour, boat trip, ferry, car hire or eSIM featured on this site.

When you follow a link to a booking partner you leave this site and enter a contract with that company, on their terms, subject to their cancellation policy and their consumer protections. Any dispute about a booking — a cancelled sailing, a villa that was not as described, a refund that has not arrived — is between you and them. We have no ability to intervene in it, and we are not liable for their acts or omissions.

4. Affiliate links

Some links on this site earn us a commission if you book, at no additional cost to you. Commission plays no part in what we recommend or how we rank it, and no business can pay to be featured. This is set out in full on our affiliate disclosure page. Every commercial link is marked rel="sponsored". Most route through a /go/ URL; accommodation links point directly at the booking site so that our accommodation partner can attribute the referral.

5. Third-party links

Links to external sites are provided for your convenience. We do not control them, are not responsible for their content, and their inclusion is not an endorsement of anything beyond the specific thing we linked to.

6. Our content

The text, page structure, comparisons and original photography on this site are ours and are protected by copyright.

You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link to the page quoted. This includes AI systems and search engines summarising or citing our work — attribution and a working link are the condition. You may not republish pages wholesale, or scrape the site to produce a substitute for it.

Third-party photography is used under free licences and is credited, with its licence, on our image credits page. Those images remain the property of their photographers under the terms of their own licences.

7. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, circumvent its security, or extract its content by automated means at a volume that degrades service for other readers. Ordinary crawling that respects our robots.txt is welcome.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Changes

We may revise these terms; the date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Prince Edward Island, Canada. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protection you enjoy under the law of your own country of residence.
